Last week was one for the books! So much happened & goodness did I love every single second of it so naturally I needed to post about it!

Let’s start with the beginning of the week! Early Tuesday AM my friend Nicole & I drove off to Chicago! Fun fact— the last time I was in Chicago was with Nicole! We went to an event & Nicole lived in the city during college so I feel she’s always so fun to go with!

We got there late morning just in time for lunch! Bopped around Wicker Park area at a few places we wanted to go then headed to the outlet mall right by our hotel! Had a great dinner then headed to the main event— MEETING MEGHAN QUINN! Listen.. if you follow me on socials, follow my blog posts, hear me talk about books—- you know I have a strong love for Meghan Quinn. She’s so hilarious, her spice is always spicin, & I honestly just love her so dang much. Meeting her was just like talking to her on socials! So down to earth, funny, & the sweetest! I’ve slid into her DMs countless times to talk about a book, ask questions, or tell her how amazing she is! I’m so glad she was my first book signing & I hope to travel to her again in 2025!

We drove home & got home right before noon — I had to get my life together & repack everything because I was headed to Nashville the next morning! I headed to Nashville early the next morning to see my best friend Brooke & her family! We don’t get to see each other often but when we do it’s like no time has passed. We talk all day, every day so basically the same in person. I love that I got to hug her kids, attend their sports games, a music concert, & just hang out with them. We see so much of each others lives via video & messaging that it was so wonderful to see them in person!

We did some shopping, went a long walk on such a beautiful trail, went to some book stores, got a piercing together, lots of dinners & drinks, hanging out on the couch watching 90 day fiancé, & seeing Kacey Musgraves for the 3rd time together! She always puts on a great show & I truly love experiencing all of them with Brooke! It’s so SAD leaving Nashville & her every single time! I love being there with them so much & I hope we can make another trip happen in 2025!

Such an amazing week & I seriously felt so blessed I got to do all of that in one week. So thankful for Craig who semi took vacation so I could do this because he knows it’s all so important to me. He really is the best!

I will always advocate that… if you can take the trip moms, take the trip! Always a nice refresh & always fills up your cup!
