Force Play ARC Review

Force Play by Lo Everett (Denver Bandits #4)

Tropes: Frenemies to Lovers, Baseball Romance, A Man Obsessed, So Much Banter, Failed One Night Stand, Very Spicy.

Blurb:

I’ve always been that guy; charming, charismatic, the one that things come easy for. Baseball is the only thing I’ve ever had to work at … until her.

Maybe that carefree smile I wear is part of the reason why I’ve developed a reputation as a playboy. Okay, some of it is deserved. Deep down, under the one-night stands and fun-loving spirit, I’ve always wanted a lasting love like my parents have. One unforgettable night with Indie Moreno was all it took to know she was the one I want it all with. But my dream girl wakes up the next morning and declares we are one and done. No more.
When she moves to my city a year later, it’s the second chance I’ve been waiting for. I make it my mission to prove to her I’m what she needs, even if it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

With more to unpack than just those moving boxes, will she let me be the one to help her, or will her fear force us apart?

This is the 4th book in this series & to say I’ve been WAITING for a Dom & Indie book is an understatement.

The angst & tension with them is just so good! I love enemies to lovers so much & she delivers. I loved hearing about Indies struggles with her health & trauma with her mom passing away at a young age. It pulled at my heart so much especially with how much it felt like she was dealing with it on her own when she has such an amazing support system.

I loved getting to know Dom so much. His family dynamic was my absolute favorite. I love how much he just will DO ANYTHING to get Indie & show her that he is there for her no matter what, that he isn’t the guy she thinks he is. That he isn’t the player that she is use to when it comes to baseball players! Everything he was doing had me swooning!

Their relationship blossoming was seriously so sweet & I loved it all so, so much. Especially with me being stubborn like Indie so I really related to her. No 3rd act breakup which is always a positive in books for me, the spice was so good which I knew it would be with them & I LOVED the epilogue so much.

Favorite parts: His nickname for her plus doing the bandanas with that nickname significance. When they get Ronnie. When they go on their hike. When Dom takes care of her always.

4 stars. I can’t wait for the 5th book to come out!
