The Boyfriend Goal ARC Review

The Boyfriend Goal by Lauren Blakely (Love & Hockey Book 1)

Tropes- Roommates to Lovers, Teammate’s Little Sister, Forced Proximity, Love Letters, He Spoil Her.

4.25 stars

Start off by saying this is my first Lauren Blakely book & it will definitely not be my last! You know I love a hockey romance and this did not disappoint at all! There were so many different levels to the story & I honestly loved it so much!

Josie the female main character is a a quiet, determined, sassy librarian. She has had to do a lot of life on her own so it’s hard for her to let people in who want to help her or give her a break. Wesley the male main character is all hockey, hockey, hockey until he meets Josie and thinks maybe life isn’t only about hockey & that there is more to life than his career. Josie has a bucket list to complete in her new city & she decides maybe Wes is just the person to help her do the list… do you think they can complete it with just being friends??

I absolutely loved how they met, I loved the letters they left each other, I loved his tattoos plus their meanings, I loved how much he wanted to take care of her & not just because he had money but because that’s how he wanted to show her he cared. I loved watching them grow together especially after the constant “we can’t do this” with each other. Also, the spice was spicing & I was here for it!

Lauren gave so many good details to help bring this story to life & I honestly love that so much in a book. I want all the details I can get so I am so wrapped up in a book! I can’t wait for book #2 of the series to come out soon & continue on this adventure!

The Boyfriend Goal is out TODAY August 21st— head to Amazon to order or download! Thank you Lauren & GoodGirls PR for the ARC!
