Okay friends.. I COULD SCREAM how freaking much I loved this book. It’s always such a breath of fresh air to be back in Elle Kennedy’s world.. I honestly love it so much & the fact we are getting more books from her this year is a true treat. I am an Elle STAN & I honestly love anything & everything she does at this point.

Let’s get into the book.. I have been wanting a Wyatt book since his twin sister Gigi’s book (which if you haven’t read that.. read that immediately). Wyatt follows in his mom’s footsteps with singing and song writing & not his dad’s footsteps with hockey so that always made me very curious how Elle was going to build him as a character since I would of just assumed he would be a hockey player like his dad.

Wyatt is a MAN & brings the heat that’s for sure. I am obsessed with how down bad he is for Blake after he finally gives up the cool guy act. He is such a sweetie pie & don’t get me wrong there was definitely times where I wanted to shake him in the beginning because of how he was acting but the ANGST was so good.

We got to hear about Blake a little bit in The Charlie Method & I didn’t know what to expect from her but I loved her. I loved her parents book when I read them many years ago—Logan in the off-campus series honestly doesn’t get enough love. I loved him & his story so I figured I’d love Blake too. I loved how she didn’t back down when Wyatt was being a brat to her. I loved her years long crush on Wyatt & her not giving up the crush no matter how the cards kept falling with it.

There was some heavy stuff that happens in this book & it was honestly told & navigated really well. It broke my heart the things Blake went through but also what Wyatt went through & kind of opened my eyes up to another perspective that I didn’t think about before. A true rollercoaster of emotions in this book.

There was so many little side stories in the book that it made me feel like I was real life living in this world & that’s how I feel every single time I read an Elle Kennedy book. She creates this world with so much detail I feel like I am there with the characters. I love everything single about it— I could picture the Tahoe house, the street they were walking on in New Jersey, the characters, everything. The tension, the drama, the spice— I could feel it all. It was so well done!

Also I couldn’t not mention the text group chats.. they were 10/10 especially if you loved her other books. I audibly Lol’d several times because it just reminded me of the characters that we’ve met before in her other books. The Dad chat especially. Again, just adding so much detail into the book & story that makes you connect with the characters so much more.

Elle is giving us another book in this series in November & I squealed when I read that! I can’t wait to be back in this world again & I hope you read this book & enjoy it as much as I did!
