Scottie Price just started a new job, and it’s a real sausage fest. She’s the only woman on a team filled with Brads and Chads. Expecting a bachelor pad atmosphere, she is quickly corrected when she finds out everyone is happily married.

In an effort to impress her boss, Scottie mentions her nonexistent husband in a company meeting. But eagle-eyed Chad points out her lack of wedding ring. Panicked, Scottie creates a story about her unhappy marriage. Unfortunately for Scottie, her boss has a solution—a one-on-one session with the best marriage counselor in the Northeast, who happens to be her boss’s husband.

With no way out of her lie, Scottie agrees to see him. Frantic, she calls in help from her best friend who sets her up with his brother, an improv-obsessed millionaire.

Enter Wilder Wells. More than happy to take on the job, he teaches Scottie the main rule of improv: always say yes. But the rule backfires during the session when Wilder signs them up for an eight-day summer marriage camp with all of Scottie’s co-workers where she’ll have to share a cabin with her way-too-handsome fake husband.

Let’s get into it!

Alright.. this has got to be on of my favorite books of Meghan’s hands down.. & I’ve read a lot! I think because I’ve never read anything like it?! An adult summer camp but throw in fake marriage, marriage counseling, relationship trauma, family drama, and coworkers you hate.. you definitely have a fun, hilarious, sweet, heartfelt book.

Wilder is probably the GOAT male man character at this point.. everyone needs a Wilder as far as I’m concerned. He’s the definition of if he didn’t want to be with you, he wouldn’t. He treats Scottie so dang good & I’m obsessed with him. I love how he is patient with Scottie, shows her what she deserves & isn’t afraid to take risks with her. He definitely has some demons he needs to sort out as well but you can tell that those are 100% from his heart & he has them because of how much he cares.

I just wanted to give Scottie a big hug. She was treated so horribly by her one & only boyfriend turned husband. I related to a lot to Scottie because like me.. she was treated horribly in relationships before meeting Wilder. Thinking she didn’t deserve someone wanting to be with her, giving her compliments, showing up for her, making her feel need, etc! I felt that so much until I met my husband so it was a blast from the past for me reading Scotties inner struggles.

As you can expect with any Meghan book.. There was so many LOL moments in the books while they were doing challenges at the summer camp, with Scottie’s coworkers & their consoler Sanders— what a character! There is also someone named Danielle in the book & I’m just going to say that I think Meghan added my name in her book because she loves me 🙂

Last but certainly not least… hands down thee CUTEST nickname for a character in a book. I truly LOVED the one Wilder gave Scottie & I couldn’t handle it.
