Pumpkin Bars

I feel like these are always necessary during the fall months! Especially as we get closer to Thanksgiving! Im forever team pumpkin so I always love making these! These are so rich in flavor & immediately always make you warm + cozy!

Here’s the recipe I always use:

Iced Pumpkin Bars— Nothing says fall like pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting! A classic, melt-in-your-mouth treat.

Ingredients for the Pumpkin Bar Batter:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 can of pumpkin
  • 1 tsp Magnolia-Star Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt

Ingredients for the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1 8oz block of cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 tsp Magnolia-Star Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 2-3 cups powdered sugar

How to make it:

  1. Mix together eggs, sugar, oil, pumpkin & Magnolia-Star Vanilla Bean Paste until well combined.

Add in flour, baking powder, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda & salt.

Once all ingredients are combined, grease a 9×13 pan & pour pumpkin bar batter into the pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.

While the bars are baking, make your cream cheese frosting. Mix together room temperature cream cheese, softened butter, Magnolia-Star Vanilla Bean Paste & powdered sugar until smooth & combined.

Once the bars are fully cooled, spread the cream cheese icing on top, & garnish with a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice if desired. Enjoy!
