VEGAS BABY!
The 2nd week in September Craig & I went to Vegas with 2 of our good friends! We went with them a few years ago & I loved it! It’s definitely A LOT. There is so much going on, so much good people watching, so many beautiful things to see inside so many hotels & casinos. It’s a lot but I definitely recommend going at least once in your life!
We got there on a Monday afternoon & left Friday morning. I do think we could have cut this by a day.. it was a long time to be there but honestly its not like we were out there getting crazy every day so it’s definitely do able!
I’m not a huge gambler— I’ll throw some money in a slot & play for a little bit but nothing crazy. Craig loves playing some of the table games & is really good so I know he enjoys going for that.
We stayed at Park MGM which is one of the few smoke free hotel/casinos there which is honestly so dang nice! I’m really sensitive to smoke sometimes so this is really nice when you aren’t inhaling it 24/7 since that’s hardly a thing here anymore. There is an Eataly in Park MGM which I literally am so obsessed with so we always got pastries & coffee there every morning.
We would lay by our pool a lot — relaxing, reading & drinking the best 32oz Paloma. I tried a lot of Paloma’s why I was there because #summerofpalomas & my pool one was always the best one! So go Park MGM for that! We hit up a few speakeasy’s and that’s literally always so fun! I love going in those little hidden gems. We hit up a lot of happy hours & honestly that was a win because it saved you so much on drinks + food.
One of the one things I wanted to do while we were there was get a $10 tattoo at the tattoo place & it happened! I got my Harry Potter tattoo that I have wante for years & honestly I couldn’t be happier with it! Tattoos on vacation is always a win I think!
Here is a list of places we ate, went & the speakeasy’s…
- STK Happy Hour in Cosmopolitan
- Ocean Prime Happy Hour
- Roy Choi’s Best Friends in Park MGM
- Ghost Donkey Speakeasy in Cosmopolitan (tequila/mezcal bar)
- Ski Lodge Speakeasy in Cosmopolitan (80s music— so freaking fun)

A whole lot of food, lots of walking, & laughs! Can’t wait to go back in another couple years!
