So I read Meredith’s first book in February as an ARC & I freaking loved it. We meet the main male character in that book (Wyatt) & I loved him so much in that book! We see him as a badass hockey player but also the sweetest single dad.

Wyatt is truly a dream. He is just about the sweetest man. He had a one night stand with a woman who had no interest in becoming a mom when she finds out she is pregnant & is going to put the baby up for adoption but Wyatt can’t imagine his child walking around the world & him not having anything to do with it so he becomes a single dad to baby Vienna (Vi). Wyatt has 2 moms, is about as polite as they come, cowboy vibes but also hockey player, & obsessed with a girl named Dakota who he’s been in love with since he was 8 years old.

Dakota is a real ball buster. Raised mainly by her cowboy bull rider dad & a female bull rider. She is rough around the edges & chews men up & spits them out! I loved Dakota— how ballsy & tough she was. She is grumpy but after things she’s been through— how could you not be?! She doesn’t see Wyatt as anything but a friend because of hurt pasts & Wyatt not being assertive when he really should of been.

Wyatt & Vienna go home to Texas for the off season & end up having to room with Dakota. Obviously tensions, stress, & forced proximity is at an all time high!

Their slow burn story really makes me so happy.. The amount of times that I SWOONED over Wyatt. I honestly couldn’t handle it. I loved watching their chemistry, love grow & unfold. It was all so good. Seeing Dakota get a soft spot for Vienna was so wonderful to see as well.

I gave this 5 stars and gosh I wish I could reread it again for the first time. This is definitely in my top 3 cowboy romances. Meredith does such a good job giving all the details in her books & I appreciate it so much! I love her writing style & I can’t wait for more from her!
