March Book Round Up

March book goal was 10 books & I almost got there! There were seriously so many good ones I read this month— I’m still thinking about a lot of them! I love how a book can wrap you up like some of these have for me.. I just can’t get enough! I rate them by stars— 1 star being the lowest & 5 being the highest!

Let’s dive into it!

  1. Noble Prince by Devney Perry (Clifton Forge #4) — This is book 4 in the Clifton Forge series & I can honestly say they just keep getting better & better. This one was about Presley’s twin that we don’t know a whole lot about.. I was a little skeptical about her since her character in Stone Princess was completely closed off & wasn’t 100% sure of what to think of her when I loved Presley so much. Long story short.. I LOVE Scarlett. I love how she came out of her shell..I honestly couldn’t imagine the life she had growing up & all the trauma that caused her. Luke was basically her knight & shining armor & I loved that so much. I loved them together. I loved their story. The suspense continues on & it just keeps getting better & better! This is a must read series! 5 stars.

2. Fallen Jester by Devney Perry (Clifton Forge #5) — Ooooo wee Leo Winter is just next level. I wanted to slap him a few times but goodness he was hard not to love. The way Cass was so patient with him & loved him regardless of his demons.. I just couldn’t handle it. The friend/family group dynamic is probably one of the main reasons I love the Clifton Forge series so much. It honestly doesn’t get any better. I love an accidental pregnancy trope so honestly was here for it all. AGAIN, this series is a must read. 5 stars.

3. Tin Queen by Devney Perry (Clifton Forge #6) — I honestly have no words. The book hangover I had after reading this one.. are you kidding me.. These 2 lead characters were just top notch. I loved it all so much. The suspense. Not knowing what was going to happen & the twists/turns. I can’t even handle the romance either in this one. Just so good. I never wanted to leave Clifton Forge.. I was honestly SO sad when it was done. This entire series left an impact on me. & I will forever be screaming for everyone to read this series.. but honestly read anything by Devney! 5+++++ stars.

4. Revenge Era by Brittanee Nicole (The Revenge Games #1) — This was short, sweet & to the point. It captured my attention right away. This was my first Brittanee Nicole book & honestly I can’t wait to read more by her! It was a quick read & I love a single dad/age gap trope! Can’t wait to read the next book with some of the same characters soon! 4 stars.

4. If You Give a Single Dad a Nanny by Ann Einerson (Aspen Grove #1) — I gave an entire write up about this since it was an ARC for me on this page… here’s the link to it! 4 stars. https://daniellepaschka.com/2024/03/14/if-you-give-a-single-dad-a-nanny-arc/

5. The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston — What a ride! Okay.. So I wasn’t a huge fan of The Dead Romantics (my opinion— don’t hate me) so I was a little hesitant to try this author again but I saw so many rave reviews! So I gave it a shot! The main characters Clementine & Iwan were great! I really enjoyed both of them. I LOVE dual POV the most but I thought the author really did a good job with this since it was only Clementine’s POV. I felt a sense of Clementine in me because she was a little lost when she was in her early 20’s just like I was.. It always helps when you can connect with the characters I feel. The romance & stories they shared was seriously so sweet & genuine.. I loved it. I thought it was so beautifully written. ALSO his nickname for her was “Lemon” and I thought that was the cutest freaking thing ever! I definitely would recommend this book because it’s not like any other book I’ve read so hats off to Ashley— she’s made me a fan of her! 5 stars.

6. Bridesmaid for Hire by Meghan Quinn — I got an advanced listeners copy & I will be recommending MQ for the rest of my life. This was hilarious, swoony & just SO GOOD. I wrote up a whole blog post about it here. 5+++++++ stars. https://daniellepaschka.com/2024/04/02/bridesmaid-for-hire-alc-review/

7. Blitz by Devney Perry (Treasure State Wildcats #2) — At this point.. Devney can do no wrong! This is my 18th book that I’ve read by her & I just forever love her writing. This is book 2 in this sports romance series. The first book (Coach) in the series was the first Devney Perry book I read! They are so sweet, romantic & swoon worthy! This story takes place at the same time as Coach which took me some getting use too since I already knew what was happening with the other characters! So I definitely recommend reading Coach first! I loved Toren & Jennsyn — Toren being an assistant football coach & Jennsyn being a volleyball player at the college. Jennsyn just transferred & wanted a fresh start from her past.. both of them not realizing it was a coach/player situation when they met one night & can’t seem to not stop thinking about each other! I loved their romance. I always love a “forbidden” romance. I loved that they both had struggles on their own that they were able to overcome them together. I love a “fuck it” moment & this book definitely delivered with that! I recommend this book if you like sports romances & some good omg moments! I can’t wait for the next book of this series later this year! 4 stars.

9. The Underdog by Kate Lauren — Another ARC I received & it was so fun! If you like sports romance, fun banter & grumpyxsunshine — look no further! Here’s the link to read more detail about it! 4 stars. https://daniellepaschka.com/2024/04/01/the-underdog-arc-review/

That is all for March! It was so good & I know April is about to be just as good! SO many of my favorite authors have books coming out & I can’t even wait! So many books, so little time! Thanks for being here friends!
