Whew another good month with some good reads! I read 7 again this month & honestly happy with that with how much we had going on! So many good ones & some holiday reads! Some of the books I read this month I have been waiting to read for months so I was so excited they were released this month & I got to read them! Let’s dive into it…
I’m going to give a brief description of the book & what I rated it 1-5 stars. 1 being bad. 5 being the best.
1.Wildfire by Hannah Grace– Forbidden love, Dual POV, summer camp, shy MMC x outgoing FMC, Spicy. Icebreaker by Hannah Grace was a top 5 book for me last year so I was so excited for this one! Wildfire checked all the boxes for me! The friend circle, the new & cross over characters from Icebreaker, the details, RUSS CALLAGHAN *swoon*. I loved Aurora too— such a good FMC & love how these 2 were with each other! I’ll be swooning over this book for awhile! Now on to book #3 in the series next year! 5 stars.
2. Riven Knight by Devney Perry– Romantic suspense, Opposites attract, Dual POV, Family secrets. This is #2 in the Clifton Forge series. I couldn’t believe the twists and turns from this 2nd book in the series! A lot of unknown got cleared up from the last book thankfully. I loved Isaiah so much. So sweet & tender. Tormented by his demons but Genevieve brings something out of him. Loved reading their story unfold. Can’t wait to read the next one! 5 stars.
3.Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey– Friends to lovers, He falls first, Dual POV, Christmas in NYC, Spicy. I will always read a Tessa Bailey book when she releases new ones. I thought this one was good but wasn’t up to the tier of some of her other ones which is okay. I wish there was more Christmas/holiday aspects to the book than there was. Another thing that kind of drives me crazy after reading so many books is that some of the relationships just form SO fast & it just doesn’t seem realistic which could be my issue? Lol I get too into the books apparently. Anyway.. it was a cute holiday read so add it to your list this year or next! 4 stars.
4. The Graham Effect by Elle Kennedy– Enemies to lovers, Dual POV, Hockey, College Romance, Spicy. OMG. Hands down one of the best books I read this year. I can’t even tell you how obsessed I am with this book! I read the entire Off-Campus series by Elle & this is following that series but many years later. I gave all the Off-Campus books 5 stars so I had HIGH hopes for this book. It seriously was everything and more. I loved the main characters so much. The friend groups of both were awesome as well & I just always love how much detail Elle gets in for her book! I can never get enough! There were characters from the Off-Campus books that made an appearance in this book & it made my heart so happy. This is the beginning of a series so I’m already counting down the days til the next one. The spice was sooooo good, the story was perfect & as always I love a good hockey book! If you loved the Off-Campus series you will LOVE this! 5 million stars!
5. Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood– Academic rivals, He falls first, Pro fake dater. I thought this was a really cute read! I love Ali Hazelwoods way of writing. Definitely a slow burn but kept my interest! I could relate to the MFC a bit & loved her growth in the book. 4 stars.
6. Wreck My Plans by Jillian Meadows– Brothers best friends, Holiday/Christmas, Forced proximity, “It’s always been you”. I wrote an entire ARC review about this on my blog! Should be the post before this one! Go check it out! 4.5 stars
7. Worth the Hurt by Ashley Dranguet– Friends to lovers, Workplace romance, Spicy, HEA. This was another ARC read so I’m going to write a post up about that next so many sure you go read! 4.5 stars
I am 3 books away from 100 for the year! WHEW. I have a bunch I want to read especially since I am cooped up at home recovering from surgery! Hoping for some good ones & can’t wait to see all the ones I can get through next year already!
Xo,
Dani
