The Last 3 Weeks!

It’s been a minute! The past 3 weeks have been WILD!

I have been so busy which I know so is everyone else this time of year! So let‘s do a recap of what I’ve been up too! My girls school had conferences which I am apart of the PTO so I was running around getting meals, snacks, etc for the teachers since their hours are so long that week! I will always support our teachers where I can!

I broke my foot. My first broken bone ever. It was the silliest thing ever. My foot was a sleep while I was working at the table. I went to get up and thought it would wake up on its own as I started to walk but I lost balance, tripped & fell. That was a Tuesday. I was in quite a bit of pain but powered through thinking it was a sprain or just bruised etc. By Saturday I was still limping & being a runner I figured I should go in to get it checked so there wasn’t anything worst happening that could affect running or exercise in the future. I had an X-ray and sure enough I broke something! I’ve been in a boot the last 9 days, have an appt with the podiatrist tomorrow & I am hoping/praying I don’t have to have surgery! It feels SO much better since being in the boot & all the bruising/swelling has gone down so fingers crossed!

I’ve been still working out at Orangetheory & I’m so happy that my coaches there have been so amazing with helping me & making sure I stay safe. It’s been almost 5 years since I started at OTF & I’m so close to my 1500th class that it would take a full body cast to get me to leave LOL being active has not only helped me physically but its such a mental thing for me now. There is no better feeling than completing one of those classes.

We had family pictures & they are always Craig’s favorite day of the year! HA! You’d think by now he would be used to it but he isn’t lol 🙂 So thankful to our amazing photographer Joelle who is always just the best! She makes it easy & it’s always so fun to see her! She’s been around us for the last 11 years as our photographer & I honestly can’t imagine having anyone else doing them for us!

We didn’t do much over Thanksgiving break which is a blessing after the madness of the last few weeks! The girls went roller skating with my mom, we went to Littleton,IA for our Thanksgiving meal with my Dad’s side of the family, watched lots of football, did lots of baking for myself & work, went to the festival of trees & lights, & just enjoyed a break together!

I have the whole house decorated for Christmas — it’s honestly my absolute favorite & I just love how cozy & warm it feels there! I’m having some girlfriends over on Friday and I can’t wait to enjoy the house with them. At this point, I feel like if the house is decked out then it needs to be gathered in.

I haven’t done a ton of Christmas shopping yet which could be not great BUT there is a few things I bought this the weekend that I will share! I’ve been grabbing different things over the last couple months when I see it but nothing crazy! Aria hasn’t wanted to write me a list which has been semi frustrating— is this the start of being a tween?! I said if she didn’t get something to me by this week then I’m picking things out myself!

Well I think that is about everything to catch you up on! I am so excited for the next few weeks! There is honestly no magically than the next few weeks of celebrating, parties, baking, & everything inbetween!

As always, thanks for being here friends!

Xo,

Dani
