Well I ended the month reading 7 books.. I was a little upset with myself lol I wanted to read at least 10 but the month got away from me & we had so much going on! I read some really good ones, 2 new authors & an ARC (advanced readers copy). Let’s dive into it…
I’m going to give a brief description of the book & what I rated it 1-5 stars. 1 being bad, 5 being the best.
Meet Your Match by Kandi Steiner – You guys know I LOVE a hockey series! This one was no exception. I loved the banter in the book, the spice & the story. I was a little annoyed with the FMC a few times because she was so dang stubborn at times. But I read it fast & I really did enjoy it! This is book 1 in a series and you bet I’m going to keep reading the series! 4 stars.
The Long Game by Elena Armas – Enemies to Lovers. Sports Romance. Small Town. Ehhhh this took me about 12 days to get through and that is about the longest it’s ever taken me to read a book. It kept dragging and I didn’t think it needed to be as long as it was. The banter was good but sometimes I think it can be too much. I think this is going to be apart of a series and if it’s about people who I think it’s about then I will definitely give it a read. 3 stars.
Hopeless by Elsie Silver – Age Gap. Forced Proximity. Fake Fiancé. Tortured Hero. God bless the cowboys! Holy smokes. I LOVED this book so much. It was the end of the Chestnut Springs series & that was so bittersweet. These books were all so amazing. I truly cannot recommend them enough & I will forever talk about them! My cowboys in order for all the books — 1. Theo 2. Cade 3. Beau 4. Jasper 5. Rhett — I’m already ready for Elsie’s next book next year! 5 million stars.
Steel King by Devney Perry – Enemies to Lovers. No Strings Fling. Mystery Suspense. Small Town. My 7th book I’ve read from DP and honestly she is now a top 5 author for me. I love all her stories, all her characters & the way the story develops is always a way I’m not expecting. Bryce & Dash are now some of my new fave characters. I loved their stories & them together. This is apart of a series that I will be continuing on in November. 4.5 stars.
A Recipe for Disaster by Kate Lauren – There will be a stand alone detailed post for this one since it was an ARC! Come back for it! 🙂 4 stars!
Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover– YA Romance. Friends to Lover. Unexpected Twists. Strong FMC. I’ve probably read almost all of Colleen Hoover’s books at this point & this was one of my faves. I loved the FMC’s growth in the story — she grew so much in the story. I love how she opened herself up after being so closed off for so many years! The MMC in the book was so sweet & I was cheering him on the whole book. A must read in my opinion. 5 stars.
Watch Your Mouth by Kandi Steiner — Brother’s Best Friend. Age Gap. Road Trip. Hockey Romance. This was the next book after Meet Your Match & I really enjoyed it! I loved the main characters. I loved how the same characters from the 1st book returned. They were truly so fun to read .. the FMC was hilarious & silly & I feel we don’t always see that sometimes. You could feel the love between them with how she wrote it. Only complaint is more detail about them falling for each other but I know books can only be so long. I’m just a details girl 🙂 4.5 stars.
I am hoping I can get through about 10 books this month. I’m so close to 100 books this year! As always follow me on IG @daniellepaschka & good reads @daniellepaschka for my book updates more frequently through the month!
