Woooooof. I read 12 books this month & I honestly don’t know how with all the things we had going on. I definitely make reading a priority after everything else I have going on! It’s the best escape from the chaos & I love the book community so much!
There are so many good books coming in October & I honestly can’t wait!
Here’s what I read & a little snippet about each one! I rate the books 1-5 stars — 1 being not good, 5 being awesome.
- Regretting You by Colleen Hoover – I haven’t read a Colleen book in awhile but honestly this one was SO good. I loved the story in it between the mother and daughter! A lot of OMG moments. I definitely recommend. Her books are always quick reads too! 4 stars.
- Loathe to Love You by Ali Hazelwood – This book was a series of 3 novellas. I liked them—all pretty predictable. A little spicy. All fast reads. 3 stars.
- Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score – This was the 3rd book of the Knockemout series. YOU GUYS. I loved this dang book so much. It was my absolute favorite of the series. I loved Lucian & Sloane. I loved their story. I loved the spice. The last 2 books there was things that happened in the book that were like “ummm could that really happen??” — kind of unbelievable but this one was not like that. Everything that happened I could see really happening. I’m so sad this series is done. I loved the characters in the series so much. 5 stars.
- The Things We Leave Unfinished by Rebecca Yarros — I honestly have no words for this one. It.Was.So.Good. I love love so much & this pulled on all the heart strings. I was sobbing the last few chapters of the book (the girls were very concerned). It was set in WW2 time & present time. A lot of OMG moments & sweet, sweet love throughout the entire book. A must read. 5 stars.
- Line of Scrimmage by Erin MacKenzie— A perfect football romance book! All the spice & it was sooooo good. I did a whole blog post on this one! It was my first ARC — go check it out! 4.5 stars.
- I read all 5 books of The Edens series by Devney Perry — They were all so good. Some of them had crime related things in them which was a good switch up. Good romance. Every single character I loved. The final book is coming out in December & I can’t wait for more. Definitely all quick reads because they grab you from the get go! I definitely recommend all of them! Book 1,2,3,4 got 4 stars. Book 5 got 5 stars.
- Stinger by Mia Sheridan— This was our book club book this month & I really liked it a lot. I thought the story was very interesting. I liked the how it went through years of progression. I loved the characters & their own stories as well. This is my 3rd book I’ve read of Mia Sheridan and she does not disappoint at this point! 4 stars.
- The Summer I Saved You by Elizabeth O’Roark — A 2nd book in a series. I read the 1st a couple months ago so I was anxious to read this! A story about kids who knew each other then are reconnecting (not on purpose). I loved the female main character in this book. The male annoyed me from time to time but what male doesn’t? LOL. It was a good fast read & I’m ready for the 3rd book! 4 stars.
Let’s see how many I can get through this month! Books I’m excited about this month that are getting released— Wildfire by Hannah Grace, The Graham Effect by Elle Kennedy, Better Hate than Never by Chloe Liese, Hopeless by Elsie Silver, Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey.
