I had my first ARC (Advanced Readers Copy)!!

I was always seeing these book instagram accounts getting new releases earlier than when the book was suppose to be out & I was always wondering how! Come to find out — you can apply to be an advanced reader for so many books coming out! They want you so you give honest reviews, get the book hyped up, & everything in between!

I’ve applied for a few since about August & this is the first one I got! Line of Scrimmage by Erin MacKenzie! Let’s start by saying that I LOVED it. It was the perfect kind of romance book that I love.

The main characters are Ford & Abby. Ford is a professional football player & Abby is a school teacher who just moved to the area. They meet through Abby’s brother — Ford & him are best friends & teammates! They obviously meet & things happen! Sports romance books are where it is at, just saying.

Things I loved about the book was the duel point of view in the book — I always love reading about how both their minds are working & what they are thinking about the same situation. I loved that there was no third act breakup — this happens a lot in books and sometimes I think it’s good but others not so much so that was a good change up. The spice was on point & so good! I loved their communication with each other in the book! Ford was swoon worthy & sometimes I couldn’t handle it 🙂

Thing I would of liked more about the book was more in-depth of their relationship & how they fell in love.. I just am forever a sucker for love so I want all the details & sometimes books just immediately have the main characters falling in love without hardly telling us how they fell for each other & sometimes I would just like more details! Erin did a great job with their relationship but I will always want more LOL but also know the book doesn’t need to be 600 pages!

All in all, I loved it so much & can’t wait for more by Erin! She is now a must read author for me & I gave the book 4.5 stars!
