Dri Tri at Orangetheory

As most of you know if you are following me over on my Instagram page.. I’m a die hard Orangetheory member! I’m inching closer and closer to my 1500th class, still maintaining my 60 lbs weight loss, countless challenges & 7 Dri Tri’s completed!

Regular Dri Tri’s are 2000 meter row, 300 body weight exercises, 5k run. I’ve done that version 4 times. Here are my times— 1st was 50:22. 2nd was 48:06. 3rd was 46:38. 4th was 47:56. I’ve also done a sprint version which was half of the regular & a relay which there was 3 of us & I ran the 5k portion.

This year there was a new option. A strength option. I was super excited when they announced this just because I love lifting, I love a new challenge & I was ready for something new when it came to the Dri Tri! The strength option was 900 meter row, 300 dumbbell reps, 1 mile run at an incline. You started on the rower did 300 meters then went to the floor and did 3 rounds of each exercise 10 times. Back to the rower, 2 more rounds of exercises — back to rower & then 1 round of exercises. After that you are up to the tread — start at 8% and go down by 2% every .25 of a mile. Whew.

I was beat after I was done but I did it with 2 of my best girlfriends so that was worth it for sure! The accomplishment you feel after one of these is next to none. I’ll never not be proud of myself for doing one of these! I will also always encourage people to this if they’ve never done it.
